Torta di Lodi takes a place of honour among Tacchinardi
products, side by side with Tortionata Tacchinardi® and
Bacioni di Lodi®, but it springs from a different, though
longstanding, culinary tradition.Its touch of glamour is
the result of the use of both sweet and bitter almonds, just
like in the famous Fanfullini macaroons. It marries classic
confectioner’s almonds with the more bitter armelline almonds.
The other absolutely pure ingredients: natural flour, top
quality fresh butter, specially produced in the Lodi area for
Tacchinardi, grated lemon rind and, lastly, a sprinkling
of delicious icing sugar. Like other Tacchinardi products,
Torta di Lodi® has always been a great success with both
the public and the critics (1st prize at the Milan Expo Sapori
fair in 2004). Thanks to its bitter-sweet combination it
is acclaimed by the most demanding gourmets, who appreciate
its extreme harmony of fragrances and flavours.
